When you root your android device, you gain a lot of
privileges. These privileges are many such as costume ROM’s, kernels, themes to
mention a few. Nevertheless, although you will receive all the above
privileges, there is a major setback to rooting your android device which is losing
your phones warranty.
However, if you have an android device that you have
rooted already and want to get your warranty return or whatever, then you can
simply unroot your device. Once rooted, your android device will return back to

But before you ever think to unroot your android
device or any smart phone, ensure that you have done the following:
·
BACKUP
YOUR FILES AND DATA: It is of great importance that you have your files
such as documents, music, videos, games and other important data of yours backed
up either on your micro SD card or on your computer. This is the first thing
you must do because while you unroot your android device, everything you have
stored, that is all your files and data will be wiped out. You would not like
to lose your important files, would you? So backup your data before you unroot.
·
CHARGE
YOUR PHONE: Before you unroot your android device, know that it takes
time and consumes a lot of battery power. So after backing up your files,
before you unroot your device, make sure your battery is charged and is more
than 50%. If you have enough time it is advisable for you to charge your phone
fully, that is up to 100%.
Now, after
having backing up your files and charging your phone, the next thing for you to
do is to unroot your android device. You can do this by implementing any of the
two methods below:
Ø
FIRST
METHOD: USE SUPERSU APP: This method will work for any android device
that was rooted without any custom recovery installed. To do this, go along
with the following steps:
I.
You need to download and install SuperSu app
from Google play store.
II.
After downloading, launch SuperSu app, navigate
to settings and then tap on “full unroot”.
III. Tapping
of full unroot will ask for confirmation, and then you just tap ok and
continue. After you might have unroot your device, SuperSu will automatically
close.
IV. The
next action for you to execute is to restart your android device.
V.
After restating your android device, finally
uninstall SuperSu and your device will unroot fully.
Ø
SECOND
METHOD: USING ES FILE EXPORER: If the above method does not work for
you, then don’t worry. Here is another method you can use to unroot your
android device:
NOTE: you should not move it to
your micro SD card. Just leave it on your phone.
II.
After downloading and installing the app, open
it and tap the menu button.
III. The
next thing to do is to tap on “tools” and select “root
explorer” to turn this feature on.
IV. Superuser
will now ask you to grant privileges or root privileges to the app. Either way,
when this pops up, tap allow to grant it access.
V.
What you have to do now is to go back to the
main screen of the app and select “/”
in the top corner of the screen.
VI. Go
to system>bin. Look for the busybox and SU file, and then you should delete
them. If they are not there, that is if you can’t find any of them, just skip
to this step and go to the next one.
VII.
Go back to system folder again and then open the
“xbin” folder, then delete the busybox and SU file you find there. (If any
though).
VIII.
After this, you should now go back to the system
folder again and open “app” folder, then delete superuser.apk file that is
located in the folder. That is all you need to do.
IX. Having
completed the eight steps listed above, restart your android device and it
should be successfully unrooted.
