I.                   REDUCE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS: This is one of the biggest causes of battery drainage on your android device. Screen brightness works like this: the brighter the screen, the more battery power consumed. In light of this, to reduce your battery consumption and conserve more of your battery energy, you should reduce your android’s screen brightness.
II.                 DISABLE AUTO UPDATES FOR WIDGETS: Home screen widgets like news and weather updates gather their information by pinging their linked websites automatically. This drains a lot of battery energy. For your battery power to last long, you should disable auto updates for widgets. In as much as some widgets allow you to disable automatic updates, others will have to be entirely removed.
For you to disable a widgets automatic update, do the following:
·        Open the widget, then tap menu>settings.
·        Tap the auto refresh option and choose ‘none’.
Although you can customize widgets automatic update, there are some widgets you can’t customize. The best option you have here is to remove the widgets from the home screen. Follow these steps to do it:
·        Press and hold down the widget until you highlight it.
·        Now just drag the widget to the delete (trash/bin) icon to remove it from your device’s home screen.

If WI-FI connection is turned on, it may drain your battery life because it searches for a WIFI hotspot. So make sure WIFI is turned off unless it is in use.

Haptic feedback enables your typing feel more natural by giving touchscreen keyboard the sensations of a physical layout via small vibrations, but it drastically reduces your battery life. So how do you disable it? Just navigate to settings>sounds, then scroll down to system, then uncheck haptic feedback.
X.                 TURN LOCATION SERVICES OFF: Although Google maps, GPS and other location services are very useful in finding locations they nevertheless consume a lot of battery energy. So you need to turn them off immediately unless they are currently in use.
To turn off location services just do the following:
