With android wear you
can leave your smartphone at home and run around, still connected to your
device. Android wear is smart and has all you will need to play music right
from your
wrist. You wake up early morning, put on your track suit and set out
for jogging; you’ll need music to keep you going. With android wear, you don’t
need to take your phone with you, as it will take the place of your smartphone
by providing you with good music all along. You can use your smart watch as a portable
jukebox and take a selected number of tunes with you. One question you might
likely ask is this: “how do I play music on my smart watch using android wear?”
to answer this, read on as we are discussing how to play music on your smart
watch using android wear here. Just read on.
Have it at the back of your mind that for now, playing
music on your smart watch using android wear only works with the Google
play music app. To
get started, you need to do the first things first: check the Google play music
app and make sure you're running the latest version of the app on your android
phone. You also have to check your smart watch and make sure you have the
latest version of Android Wear installed on your smart watch. To do this, navigate
to Settings. Under the settings tab, locate ‘About’, and then click on System
updates to check if it is up to date.
SYNCING YOUR MUSIC
To synchronize your music, you have to head into the app
menu for Google Play Music, scroll till you find Settings, then you should tick
the box next to Download Android Wear. Once this is done, any track(s) that you
sync to your Android smartphone or device will then also be sync to a connected
smart watch. Note that as at the time of writing this report, there is no
option that you can use to only cache tacks and tunes you like individually to
one or the other.
Also, when you navigate to the top of every playlist,
album listing or artist page, there is an icon you’ll see, which is the
download icon. To download the selected music or track, all you have to do is
to simply tap on this download icon and your download will begin. Depending on
your internet connection speed, downloading music to your device may take much
time than expected. You can now transfer them to your Android Wear watch ready
for offline listening.
If you are tired of a track or simply want to remove a
track or a list of selected tracks from your device, all you have to do is to
simply tap on the download icon again.
To play your tracks, you need to switch to your Android Wear device where you should
see the download/transfer status. This transfer status should be appearing among
the list as one of the notifications on the smart watch. As soon as you have
finished transferring the songs of your choice, navigate to Play Music which is
one of the apps that is under the start in your device menu where you can
access your music. The other alternative to this is to just say "OK Google...
play music."
Once you have finished transferring your
desired songs from you android device to your smart watch, you can easily
choose to play the songs locally instead of playing it on your main device.
Note that if a pair of Bluetooth headphones or a speaker is not yet added by
you, then you'll be prompted to add one. To have access to the playback and
volume controls on the watch face, all you need to do is to swipe right.
That’s all we could write for now about
playing music with android wear. Have questions? Then ask using the comment box
