Although the HTC One M9 is among
the leading smartphone of 2015, there are some problems it comes with. We will
show you how to fix problems of HTC one M9. Below are the problems and
solutions:
AUTO-ROTATE NOT WORKING
Although auto-rotate is a feature not new to the smartphone world, it is
still has some issues not fixed properly. If you are using One M9 and it
doesn’t auto rotate, chill. All you have to do is to navigate to the quick
settings to check if it is enabled. If it is disabled, then enable it.
If after you enabled the auto-rotate
and it still doesn’t work, you will have to re-calibrate your device’s G-sensor
which is the gyroscope. Simply go to, Settings > Display & gestures >
G-Sensor calibration to do this. After that, place your HTC One M9 on a flat
surface, tap Calibrate and wait until the screen says 'Calibration Complete.'
BATTERY DEPLETES
QUICKLY
Poor battery life on your HTC One M9 may be caused by several reasons, problems
similar to other smartphones. Here is a quick guide to solve this particular
problem:
- On
your device, navigate to Settings > Sound & notification > App
notifications and then switch off notifications for apps you don't wish to
receive them from.
- Your
display is a big - but obviously quite necessary - battery drain. Go to
Settings > Display & gestures > Brightness level and lower the
brightness. Alternatively, with the Automatic brightness box ticked, turn
down the brightness slider. This will limit the automatic brightness of
your screen.
- Go
to Settings > Display & gestures > Screen timeout and lower the
amount of idle time required before your screen automatically switches
itself off.

DOUBLE-TAP TO
WAKE NOT WORKING
HTC One M9's comes with an amazing feature which wakes your phone when it’s
switched off by double tapping the screen. Unfortunately, this feature
sometimes fails. It’s of great interest for you to know that this feature is
linked with the HTC One M9's G-Sensor, and is specifically designed to work
whenever you are holding your phone upright, that is in portrait mode. If your
One M9 is on a flat surface or in landscape mode, double-tap to wake might not
work.
Another possible cause of this problem is that your G-sensor might not be
calibrated. To fix this, go to Settings > Display & gestures >
G-Sensor calibration then tap Calibrate.
HTC ONE M9
OVERHEATING
If you experience overheating
during use of your HTC One M9 device, here are some steps to restore everything
back to order again:
- Playing
games with your device while it is charging can make it over heat, so do
not use your phone while it's charging. Although this issue is not peculiar
to HTC One M9, whenever you are using your device while charging and it
overheats, simply stop operating it.
- Using power saving mode is of help. although this might not sound satisfying to you, but the fact is that most of the time you won't be pushing your One M9 hardware to the limit anyway, you can use power saving mode with the performance remaining stable, but the temperature decreases.
YOUR HTC ONE M9
DEVICE IS CHARGING TOO SLOWLY
Although HTC One M9 supports Quick Charge 2.0, it doesn’t charge as fast as
you might expect. Like most phones, The
One M9 doesn't come with a Quick Charge charger, but you can always get a
genuine one online.
If you are experiencing HTC
One M9 battery is charging slowly, then try turning on Power Saver or Extreme
Power Saver mode while still charging. You can access these settings from your
phone's Quick Settings menu. Also, don't use your phone while it's charging
because it'll charge slower and could damage your phones battery.
